Naming of the First 14100TEU Container Ship Constructed by CHI (Yangzhou)
On the morning of 17th October, the first 14100TEU container vessel (N1065) of COSCO Shipping Container Lines constructed by CHI (Yangzhou) was named. The vessel integrates the most cutting-edge technical concepts and sailing experience, and has the advantages of advanced design, environmental protection and energy saving, etc. The performance of sailing speed and fuel consumption has reached the world first-class level, which is one of the most competitive ship types in the current container ship market. Ms Chen Ying named N1065 as "COSCO SHIPPING BRAZIL"
.COSCO SHIPPING BRAZIL is the first vessel in a series of six 14,100 TEU container vessels. With an L*B size of 335.9m*51m, the vessel is equipped with the world's largest capacity-class permanent magnet shaft generator system, 100% fresh air conditioning and enthalpy wheel energy recovery system, and the main engine adopts direct atmospheric air intake to reduce energy consumption, with a number of advanced technologies that can reduce the corresponding total carbon emissions by about 5.9%.
